Based in Vancouver, British Columbia (BC), James Decker is a private ski instructor who has competed in a number of amateur ski competitions in Canada, the United States, and Switzerland. In addition to teaching his clients to ski, or helping them improve their skills, Jim Decker can guide them to the most interesting places in Vancouver, British Columbia, to go skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling, or engage in other sports and activities.
Alongside his career as a ski instructor, Jim Decker is a freelance photographer who has traveled to six continents to capture a range of sporting events and natural landscapes. He had the opportunity to shoot a number of winter sports competitions, including the Winter Olympics, the Winter X Games, the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup, and the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup. He has also photographed a diverse variety of other sporting events, from the Super Bowl to the ING New York City Marathon. Outside of sports photography, he specializes in family and wedding portraits, nature photography, and headshots.
